Poushali Barua

Poushali is an Empowered Aid Research and Learning Consultant at GWI, directly supporting the Empowered Aid project activities in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. Prior to joining GWI, Poushali was a GBV Sub Sector Coordination Associate in GBV Sub Sector, Cox’s Bazar in UNFPA Bangladesh and supported the GBV Sub sector at the national level, also at key regional levels, as well as other related working group sessions. Poushali has been working in the world’s biggest humanitarian crisis response in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh for more than 4 years and always keen to learn and understand the GBV and SEA trend/risk in the refugee context, and willing to support the GBV and SEA survivors, and take part in eliminating GBV and SEA risk for women and girls.
