Nazli Kaya


Nazlı Kaya is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in academia and project management. Currently pursuing a Master’s at Middle East Technical University, she is deeply engaged in the field of Gender and Women Studies, with a keen interest in exploring the complexities of gender dynamics in the Middle East region. Nazlı holds a Master's degree in Middle East Studies from Middle East Technical University, with an exchange study at the Political Theory Department of Darmstadt Technical University. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Foreign Language Education at Middle East Technical University, with an exchange study at the Modern University for Business and Science in Lebanon, focusing on Education and Social Work. As a Kennedy-Lugar Youth and Exchange Study Alumnus, Nazlı has demonstrated a strong commitment to cross-cultural understanding and international cooperation.

Her academic pursuits and professional endeavors have taken her across borders, enriching her perspectives and skills. In her professional capacity, Nazlı is the Project Lead of Empowered Aid 2.0 Turkey, with previous roles as an Economic Recovery Officer and Project Officer in various sectors, including livelihoods, health and protection, she has amassed valuable experience in program management and implementation. Nazlı is also a Sworn Translator, proficient in multiple languages including her native Kurdish and Turkish, as well as English, German, and Arabic. Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Nazlı is a passionate advocate for social justice and equity. She strives to leverage her knowledge and expertise to create positive change and foster inclusive societies.
